Nobody likes hitting submit on a long form and wondering if they got everything right. SureForms 2.13.1 adds a Review Step for Multi Step and Conversational Forms, plus new spam-protection options and a few smaller upgrades. It also includes a security fix.

What’s new

Let visitors check their answers with a Review Step (Premium): End a Multi Step or Conversational form with a Review Step. Visitors see all their answers in one place and can edit any of them before they submit. A visitor filling in a quote request can fix a wrong phone number before it ever reaches you.

• Cleaner submissions from long forms
• Visitors send with more confidence

Accept & Load

Decide how strict your spam check is: reCAPTCHA v3 spam checks are now stricter than before, and you can now control how strict they are. Set the score threshold under Settings → Spam Protection → reCAPTCHA (v3 tab). Raise it if bots still get through. Lower it if real visitors get blocked.

What that means for you:

• Control over how much spam gets through
• Fewer junk entries to clear out

Explain each choice with a short description: Multiple Choice options can now show a short description under each option. A plan picker can explain what each plan includes, right where visitors choose.

Run Turnstile when someone starts the form: Turnstile can now run its challenge on the visitor’s first interaction with the form instead of on page load. It’s off by default. To turn it on, enable Run the Challenge on First Interaction in Turnstile settings.

Better than before

• Partial-entry notifications (Premium): Settings now describe the sending schedule correctly, and every notification that isn’t sent is logged with the reason.

Fixed

• After-submission actions: They no longer run twice for the same entry.
• Apple Pay and Google Pay: The amount actually charged was always correct; only the wallet popup showed 120.00. The popup now shows the form’s real amount, and the wallets stay hidden when turned off in your Stripe dashboard.
• Custom smart tags: Developer-registered (custom) smart tags now work in the To, Reply-To, Cc, Bcc and From fields of email notifications. Regular field smart tags already worked there.
• Security issues: A reported vulnerability has been patched, along with security hardening in Premium. Thanks to fccsec.dev from Patchstack for their responsible disclosure.

Premium Fixes

• Edit Entry: Editing an entry no longer changes textarea answers you left untouched.
• Partial entry exports: Exports from forms with the same title no longer lose rows.
• Uploads in Edit Entry: Removing an upload now deletes the stored file.

Review Step gives visitors a last look before they submit, and the fixes tidy up payments, emails, and entries. Because this release includes a security fix, we recommend updating soon.

Build advanced forms with 20 Premium templates

Need a quiz, calculator, conversational form or a multi-step form? Start from a Premium template with relevant features already configured, then adjust the fields, logic and settings to match your workflow. A quiz template, for example, gives you a structure to customize instead of a blank starting point.

What that means for you:

• Get a working starting point for forms with multiple steps or conditions.
• Adapt the setup for your audience instead of configuring everything yourself.
• Use the same editor you’re already familiar with.

Fixed

• Conditional rules: Conditional emails, post creation feeds and field restrictions could ignore AND/OR rules. They now apply the conditions you’ve set.
• Webhook triggers: Webhooks could fire even when their AND/OR conditions weren’t met. They now run only when those conditions match.
• WPML translations: Default field labels were missing in WPML’s Translation Editor or didn’t display translated text on forms.
• Form Abandonment checkbox: The consent checkbox sometimes showed duplicate or misaligned checkmarks.
• Partial entries: Searching entries by email and linking them to the logged-in user who started the form weren’t working as intended.
• Screen reader feedback: Some form blocks didn’t announce updates consistently to screen readers.
• Security issues: We’ve patched reported vulnerabilities. Thanks to Luke Schneider and Filip Kowalski of Patchstack for their responsible disclosures.

These templates save setup work while the fixes help your existing forms behave as intended. Because the release includes security fixes, we recommend updating as soon as you can.

SureForms 2.12.9 brings abandoned form reminders for visitors, more useful notification warnings, and easier MCP Adapter setup. We’ve also improved partial-entry resume links and fixed issues across form submissions, payments, integrations, and Save & Resume.

What’s new

Help visitors finish an abandoned form

When a visitor starts filling out a form but does not finish, SureForms can send them a reminder email with a link to continue.

Visitors must opt in using the permission checkbox beside the email field and pass the form’s CAPTCHA. The reminder is sent after a period of inactivity, not immediately when they leave.

Install the MCP Adapter in one click

Setting up the MCP Adapter to connect AI tools to SureForms is now easier. Install and activate it in one click without leaving SureForms.

Better than before

Clearer warnings for forms that do not save entries

When entry storage is disabled, a failed email notification can leave you without a saved submission. SureForms now shows a warning in Form Checks on the dashboard, making the issue easier to spot and investigate.

Notification failure details now appear in Entry Logs and Form Checks, giving you more information to investigate what went wrong.

Failed notifications also no longer fall back to PHP’s built-in mail function, which could bypass your mail plugin.

More control over partial-entry resume links (Pro)

Resume links created from partial entries now expire and can be revoked.

Important: Resume links created from partial entries before this update will no longer work.

Fixed

Checkbox fields: Unchecked Checkbox fields now appear correctly in entries and email notifications.

Submit button during redirects: Fixed an issue where the button became active again before the redirect completed, allowing duplicate submissions.

Duplicated Multiple Choice blocks: Deleting an option from a duplicated block no longer affects the original.

Form accessibility: Added a missing ARIA reference to the error message to address an accessibility scan issue.

ActiveCampaign custom fields (Pro): Mapped custom field values are now sent correctly.

Repeater CSV exports (Pro): Values of zero are now included correctly in exports.

Resend Notification status (Pro): Failed resends now report a failure instead of showing a success message.

PayPal buttons in embedded forms (Pro): Fixed buttons not working when forms were embedded in page builders, theme templates, and synced patterns.

Save & Resume database compatibility (Pro): Fixed an issue where subsequent saves failed on hosts running MySQL in NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO mode.

Save & Resume emails (Pro): Fixed issues where emails bypassed mail plugins or were sent twice.

Multi-step form progress indicators (Pro): Progress lines now connect the centres of the step indicators correctly.

Both SureForms Free and Premium are now on version 2.12.8. The highlight is auto advance for Page Break and Conversational forms, making it easier for visitors to move through a form. This update also adds Distraction Free mode and fixes several issues.

What’s new

Move visitors through forms as they answer: Page Break and Conversational forms can now advance automatically when someone selects a single-choice answer. You can also hide the Next button for a more streamlined form.

Keep your dashboard focused with Distraction Free mode: Turn it on under Settings → General to hide SureForms review requests, plugin suggestions, and announcements while you work.

Better than before

Debug logs stay focused on real failures: Routine validation stops, such as an empty required field, no longer clutter the log.

Fixed

• Entry Logs now include the email notification sent after a form submission.
• Forms with a Register block no longer crash when opened in the editor.
• Temporary licensing server errors no longer deactivate your license or remove its saved key.
• Save & Resume messages and emails no longer split words in the middle.
• The Register block keeps its custom submit button text when you reopen the editor.

SureForms 2.12.7 brings two improvements that make the SureForms interface noticeably cleaner and more useful, patches a security vulnerability, and ships six fixes across free and Pro. Given the security fix, updating promptly is recommended.

What’s new

The Form Checks panel now stays out of the way. The panel in the form sidebar now appears only when there is something that genuinely needs your attention. When everything is fine, it stays hidden. The wording is clearer too, so when it does appear you know exactly what to do.

Fixed

Security fix (Pro): This update patches a security vulnerability. Props to nh4tvd for responsible disclosure. Update now.

Logged-in users blocked by login-required form restrictions (Pro): Forms restricted to logged-in users were incorrectly blocking visitors who were already signed in. Logged-in users can now access and submit these forms as expected. Fixed.

After-submission actions not completing when a form redirects: Actions like webhook triggers and integration deliveries were sometimes not finishing when the form redirected to another page on success. They complete reliably now. Fixed.

Forms losing styles and submit script on Breakdance and similar page builders: Page builders that buffer page output were stripping form styles and the submit script from the page. Forms now load correctly on Breakdance and any other builder that handles output the same way. Fixed.

Fields dropped from entries when a caching plugin serves an older page copy: When a caching plugin served a stale version of the page, some submitted field values were not making it into the entry. Every submitted field now saves correctly regardless of caching. Fixed.

Editor submissions counting toward conversion rate: Preview submissions made by site editors while testing a form were being counted in the conversion rate, skewing the numbers. Only real visitor submissions count now. Fixed.

Edit Form icon oversized in Divi: The icon was rendering too large in Divi layouts. It is the right size now. Fixed.

Form performance data right in the list view, a smarter way to diagnose submission issues, and a self-healing tool for a common database problem. Plus a quick fix to keep the editor tidy on the front end.

What’s new

Views and Conversion Rate now visible in the Forms list: No more opening individual forms to check how they are doing. Each form in your list now shows its total views and conversion rate at a glance. Spot your best performers and your problem forms without leaving the dashboard.

Enable Logs for diagnosing submission failures: Turn on submission logging and SureForms records every form submission failure to a downloadable file. Useful when something stops working on a live site and you need to know exactly what went wrong. Turn it on, reproduce the issue, download the log.

One-click repair for a missing entries database table: If SureForms detects that the entries table is missing from the database, it now flags it and offers a repair button. Submissions start saving again in one click, no manual database work needed.

Fixed

Edit Form button overlapping form fields on the front end: The button was sitting on top of form fields when viewing a form on the front end. It no longer does. Fixed!

Post Creation feeds not saving taxonomy terms for logged-out visitors or Subscribers (Pro): Taxonomy terms configured in a Post Creation feed were being skipped when the form was submitted by a logged-out visitor or a Subscriber-level user. They save correctly now. Fixed!

SureForms 2.12.5 is a focused patch release that strengthens compatibility across some of the most common WordPress performance setups. If your site uses a plugin like WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, or Autoptimize, this update makes sure SureForms plays nicely with your configurations and form submissions..

Fixed

Forms not submitting on sites with JavaScript optimisation enabled: Using WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, or Autoptimize? Form submissions were failing silently on those setups. Fixed!

Save & Resume, User Registration, and OttoKit Form response: The same JavaScript optimization conflict was impacting these features too. All three now work correctly regardless of your performance plugin setup. Fixed!

Multi-step forms collapsing into a single page: A Page Break block carrying certain block metadata caused all steps to display at once. Your multi-step forms are back to working as intended. Fixed.

Fatal error on PHP 8 with certain admin plugins: Plugins like The Events Calendar were triggering a PHP 8 fatal error in the admin. The conflict is resolved and both plugins coexist cleanly. Fixed!

This one is a behind-the-scenes release. No big new features, but two changes that make a real difference to how your form notifications look and how reliable your setup stays across WordPress versions. Plus a handful of Pro fixes that have been annoying the right people for a while.

Better than before

Email notifications with images now land more reliably: Images in email notifications are now saved to your Media Library instead of being baked directly into the email as raw data. Emails go out lighter, load faster in inboxes, and are less likely to get flagged by spam filters. If you send notifications that include images, you will notice the difference.

Squashed

WordPress 7.1 compatibility. SureForms now runs cleanly on WordPress 7.1. No issues, no warnings. Fixed.

User Registration website field mapping was broken: If you mapped the website field in a User Registration form, it was not saving correctly. The right value now goes to the right place. Fixed.

Partial Entry form names were showing a dash character instead of a hyphen: A small but genuinely annoying display issue where em-dashes were appearing in form names inside Partial Entries. Fixed!

The survey report date filter got stuck when no results came back: Selecting a date range with no survey responses caused the filter to freeze rather than showing an empty state. It now resets cleanly. Fixed!

What’s new

Jump to a form’s entries in one click There’s now an Entries shortcut in the Instant Form admin bar. Click it and you’re straight into that form’s entries. No navigating through menus.

Notify admins when a visitor saves a partial entry: When a visitor saves an in-progress form, you can now trigger an email notification automatically. The recipient field comes pre-filled with the site’s admin email, so setup takes seconds.

What that means for you:

• Reach out to visitors before they go cold
• Know immediately when someone saves a form mid-way
• Works with your existing notification setup. No extra configuration needed

Better than before

Improved WPML compatibility SureForms works more reliably with WPML. If you’re running a multilingual site, translation and form handling are more stable across language switches. 

Fixes

Security vulnerabilities patched: A security bug has been fixed and several hardening improvements are included. Update as soon as you can.

Entries search now includes submitted data: Search now scans submitted field data too, so finding a specific entry is faster and more accurate. Fixed.

A failed database update could stop forms from accepting submissions: In some setups, a database migration error was silently blocking new submissions. Forms accept submissions correctly now. Fixed.

Forms with default styles disabled no longer break the page: Disabling default styles on one form was aborting setup for every other form on the same page, causing multiple forms to render incorrectly. Gone.

Cloudflare Turnstile no longer shows a warning on WordPress 7.0: A compatibility warning was appearing on sites running WordPress 7.0. Resolved.

Payment History styles now load only on pages that need them: Styles were loading site-wide instead of only on pages with a Payment History widget. Fixed.

Number field alignment restored when “Use label as placeholder” is on: The number field was appearing misaligned with this setting enabled. Fixed. (Pro: The date picker now also respects this setting.)

FluentCRM now saves multi-choice answers as separate values: Answers were being saved as one concatenated string. They now map as individual values. Fixed.

Lost Password forms now send reset emails correctly: Reset emails weren’t sending when Login Link and Sign Up Link options were turned off. Gone.
