Textarea Field
This field allows users to input longer text, such as comments or detailed information, in a larger box. It’s ideal for forms where you may want to collect detailed feedback from the user.
- Display a plain text area by default.
Key Attributes
- Default Value:
Set a predefined value for the field. You can enter it manually or use Smart Tags. - Read Only:
Make the field non-editable on the frontend. Requires a Default Value. - Required:
Ensure users must fill in this field before submitting the form. - Rich Text Editor:
Enable formatting options by switching from plain text to a rich text editor. - Text Maximum Length:
Set a character limit for the input. - Rows:
Define the visible height of the textarea in number of lines. - Help Text:
Help Text is a message you can show below the Textarea field to guide users on what to enter.
Enable Rich Text Editor
Avoid using borders or applying heavy styling to maintain a clean, minimal design, as border styles won’t be compatible with the Rich Text Editor.
