HTML Block

This Feature Is Part of Starter+ Plan

The HTML Block lets you add design and instructional content inside your form. Use it to show instructions, highlight important information, add custom branding, or create promotional text. The block supports both the TinyMCE visual editor and raw HTML (with inline CSS) so you can style the content to match your form UI.

When to use it

  • Add instructions or guidelines for form users.
  • Show field-specific help or descriptions.
  • Insert branding elements (banners, promotional text).
  • Add images or other media to improve the form’s look.
  • Create side-by-side layouts (e.g., field + description).
Important behavior

– The HTML block is design-only. It does not create an entry in the form submissions (no backend data will be saved from this block).
– The block’s content will appear on the frontend after you publish the form.
– You cannot include the HTML block content inside email notifications or the PDF editor (not supported).
– For safety and performance, avoid adding third-party scripts or inline JavaScript. Use HTML and inline CSS for styling only.

Add the HTML block

  1. Open the form editor.
  2. Either drag the HTML block from the blocks list, or click the + icon and search for “HTML” to add it.

Edit the HTML block

  • After adding the block, click the Edit HTML Content button.
  • A pop-up opens. The default view is the Visual (TinyMCE) editor – you can type and format text there.
  • Switch to HTML mode to paste or write raw HTML and inline CSS.

  • You can also add media (images).

Width options

You can set the block width to create side-by-side views with fields. Available width presets: 100%, 75%, 67%, 50% (good for two-column layout), 33%, 25%

Example use: place a field on the left and the HTML block (instructions or image) on the right using the 50% option.

Conditional logic

You can apply conditional logic to the HTML block. This is useful when you want instructions or promo content to appear only for specific choices or when a particular field has a certain value.

How to use conditional logic

  • Select the HTML block.
  • Open the block settings and find Conditional Logic.
  • Configure Conditional Logic rules

Preview & publish

  • After editing, preview the form to confirm the HTML block appears as expected.
  • Publish the form to make the content visible on the frontend.
