Repeater Field in SureForms

This Feature Is Part of Business Plan

With the recent update, SureForms introduces a powerful new feature Repeater Fields. This allows users to dynamically add multiple sets of input fields within a form.

This is useful when you want to collect multiple entries for the same type of information, such as:

  • Adding multiple phone numbers
  • Listing work experiences
  • Collecting details of family members

How to Add a Repeater Field

  1. Open your form in the SureForms editor.
  2. Click the Add Block button or the Plus (+) icon.
  3. Search for “Repeater Field” and add it to your form.
  4. (Optional) Drag and drop the field to your preferred position.

Repeater Field Options

Once the repeater field is added, you will see several configuration options:

  • Minimum Inputs: Set the minimum number of repeated groups a user must complete (e.g., at least 1 work experience).
  • Maximum Inputs: Set the maximum number of repeated groups a user can add (e.g., up to 5 phone numbers).
  • Help Text: Add a short instruction or example to guide users.

Adding Fields Inside a Repeater

Inside the repeater, you can add different types of fields. Currently, supported field types are:

  • Text Field (e.g., Name, Title)
  • Number Field (e.g., Age, Quantity)
  • Textarea Field (e.g., Description, Comments)
  • Email Field (e.g., Email address)

Each field type has its own options, such as:

1. Text Field

Options include:

  • Input pattern
  • Default value
  • Required field
  • Validate as unique
  • Help text
  • Maximum length

2. Number Field

Options include:

  • Default value
  • Prefix & suffix labels
  • Required field
  • Number format
  • Minimum & maximum value
  • Help text

3. Textarea Field

  • Default value
  • Read-only option
  • Required field
  • Maximum length
  • Row count
  • Help text

4. Email Field

Options include:

  • Default value
  • Required field
  • Validate as unique
  • Email confirmation (adds a confirmation email field)
  • Help text

Using Repeater Data in Notifications

You can also use repeater field data inside Email Notifications.

  • In the dropdown of Add Shortcode tags, you will see the Repeater Field option.
  • This allows you to send repeater entries along with form submissions.

Best Practices

  • Set reasonable minimum and maximum limits to keep forms user-friendly.
  • Use clear help text and field labels.
  • Test your form to ensure the repeater works as expected on all devices.
