How to Edit Field Slug in SureForms

In SureForms, each form field has a unique slug that is used internally for submissions, conditional logic, and integrations.

Steps to Edit a Field Slug

  • Open your form in the SureForms editor.
  • Add or select any field in the form.
  • On the right-hand side panel (block settings), look for the Field Slug option.
edit slug
  • Enter your preferred slug in the text field.
  • Update or publish the form to save the changes.

Important Notes

  • If you do not enter a slug manually, SureForms will automatically generate one when the form is published.
  • Changing the slug after the form is already in use can cause issues.

Be Careful When Changing Slugs

Updating a field slug may break:

  • Form submissions
  • Conditional logic
  • Integrations (like email, webhooks, etc.)
  • Any feature that depends on the slug

If you change the slug, make sure to manually update all references where the old slug was used.

Supported Fields

  • Most input fields (like text, email, number, etc.) support slug editing.

Not Supported

  • HTML fields
  • Heading fields

These fields do not have a slug option.
